Romance’s Visit.

a tale of letting in and letting go.

Of Ephraim.

Romance passed by last week -

She is not welcome here again.

She carried no manners,

Was selfish and crude

And ate up everything I had saved up.

It was only till afterwards I realised

Romance had stolen

from me

Years of youth.

Despite this,

Romance came by again -

I let her in again.

Romance came by yesterday.

She was gone before I could

even blink an eye.

Passion was with her too -

She was a lot bigger on this occasion than what I remember her to be.

Passion came bearing a multitude and plethora of gifts -

Time was not one of them.

Romance bid me farewell yesterday,

I wonder when I can invite her again.
