MANIFESTO
Ephraim Kihondo (b. 1995), is a multidisciplinary revolutionary artist seekING to marry art with revolution in a way that has defined culture in eras past.
kihondo’s artistry demonstrates a commitment to unity and human connection, using paintings and video to visually explore love’s enduring influence and its ability to shape society.
A vocal champion in bringing love to the forefront of our minds, his studies challenge us to question, critique and take action in a world that typically encourages us to be bystanders to OUR OWN AND OTHER’S pain.
his work is, to borrow the words of toni cade bambara,
“to make revolution irresistible.”
I do this for the soul that cries themselves to sleep at the atrocities worldwide.
For those whose compassion has made them the odd ones out.
To the mavericks, to those who love this earth.
This is art for those who know deep down that love is the beginning of an answer to the world’s ills.
it is for those who disagree.
To spark conversation about our stereotypes and the status quo about
friendship, romance and the systems of harm we’ve grown up in.
I write this for you.
I write this to spark the light of a love revolution in our generation.
